A Tribute to TBD

Can't wait to meet you, little TBD! Your mom, SRB, is one of the coolest chics I know. Love reading her words - all about you and your big bro, HGB, who is one of the coolest boys I know!

To honor this special occasion, I thought I'd send you some workout/lounge wear.... Everyone needs to be comfy while kickin' it! Enjoy!!!!

TTC History

3/09 – Toss out birth control, and start TTC.

5/09 – Get married to Hubs after 5 ½ years of dating! Start temping and charting.

11/09 – After 10 cycles of BFN’s make appointment with RE. HSG – all clear.

12/09 – More testing with RE. S/A – good.

1/10 – Official diagnosis of Unexplained Infertility. On 12th cycle of TTC, do IUI with injections. 3 follies matured, good counts.

2/10 – BFP on 2/3/10!!! But low betas, progesterone & estradiol. Take progesterone and estrogen, have 6 days of pregnancy. Then determined it was ectopic. MTX shot on 2/10/10.

3/10 – Acupuncture and herbs. RE said need to wait 60 days after MTX.

4/10 – IUI with injections on 14th TTC cycle. Gonal-f with ganirelix. 3 follies matured. IUI's on 4/29 & 4/30. POSTIVE HPT on 5/10/10!!! Beta on 5/13.

5/10/10 (10 dpiui): BFP! 5/13/10 (13 dpiui) beta: 104. 5/17/10 (17 dpiui) beta: 859. 5/20/10 (20 dpiui) beta: 1,525. 5/24/10 (24 dpiui) beta and ultrasound: 3,235 and one sac. 5/27/10 (27 dpiui) beta and ultrasound: >5,000 and maybe an ectopic... 6/1/10 ultrasound: Heartbeat-136!!! and maybe not ectopic... 6/9/10 ultrasound: Hearbeat-158. 6/15/10 ultrasound: No heartbeat. My baby is dead. 6/16/10 D&C.

7/10 - TTC naturally - back to OPK's & temping & sex! Awaiting results from immunology testing

8/10 - Received diagnosis of compound heterozygous MTHFR mutation - one C677T and one A1298C mutation. Researching implications. Add Folgard 2.2 2x per day and baby aspirin - for the rest of my life...

9/10 - IUI with Gonal-F, Ganirelix, Folgard 2.2, baby aspirin, Lovenox & Medrol. 2, maybe 3 follies matured on right side. IUI's on 10/4 & 10/5. BFN.

10/25/10: Consult with Dr. Sher at SIRM
11/1/10: Consult with local doc

11/19/10: Follow-up with Dr. Sher - NK cells activated! Treat with intralipids 7-14 days before transfer, then after positive pregnancy test with rising numbers. Do DQ Alpha test, if matched, more intralipids every 2 weeks until 24 weeks pregnancy.

11/16/10: Hysteroscopy - all clear

11/23/10: CD 1 for IVF #1 with local doc. Meds: Gonal-F/Follistim; Menopur; Ganirelix/Cetrotide; Doxycline (antibiotic) for both hubs and Alex; Folgard; baby aspirin; Lovenox starting transfer day; Medrol; Crinone gel for progesterone; estrogen, both oral and patch, HCG trigger, and intralipids. Phew! 12/7/10 - retrieval - 29 eggs!!! 24 fertilized!!! 12/12/10 - Day 5 transfer: 2 blasts transferred. 9 embies frozen! 12/27/10 - beta: BFN

2/25/11: FET. Meds: Lupron (didn't work - caused me to stimulate, not suppress); BCPs; Estradiol patches and pills; Crinone 2x day; Medrol around transfer; Intralipids 2/17; Lovenox starting transfer day; Folgard; baby aspirin.

3/9/11: BFP!!! 3/11/11 (19dpo) beta: 1,763! 3/15/11 ultrasound: 1 sac. 3/23/11 ultrasound: heartbeat 121 bpm. 3/31/11 ultrasound: heartbeat 147 bpm, and right on track! 4/5/11 ultrasound: great!

11/1/11: My beautiful baby girl Alex is born. 7 lbs. 3 oz.

Quest for Baby #2 begins:

8/7/12: start BCP's for FET #2. 8/10/12: Hysteroscopy.
