The title just about says it all, doesn’t it? I got up in the middle of the night from cramping – it’s like bad menstrual cramps. I was able to go back to sleep, assuring myself that it was just my uterus growing and such. Then this morning, after going to the bathroom, I wiped and there was the tiniest bit of pink. Then later I had a bowel movement, and there amongst the Crinone mess was a lot of pink. I have lots of the white Crinone gel mess up there, and we all know that red and white make pink…
I know that the lack of progesterone can cause some spotting. It hasn’t been a ton. But combined with the cramping and combined with the low progesterone yesterday, I’m scared. We successfully did the PIO shot last night (thanks for all your tips! Warming up the oil, combined with icing my butt, watching some videos, and lying down on the couch, we did it! And it wasn’t that bad – the worst part was the hubs face while watching videos and then after seeing the long needle…). I’m hoping the PIO does what it’s supposed to do, but as I’m typing this, another wave of bad cramping comes.
I’m waiting for 8:00 to come, and I’ll call my doc. I’m sure they’ll ask me to come in, do another ultrasound and bloodwork. And they’ll say that we need to wait and see – I’m almost sure of it. That’s the hardest thing to do – wait and see.

Oh Alex, I will be praying for you and your baby.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is just the spotting from low Pregesterone.
Remember, I thought all was lost and you still held out hope for me. Well now I am returning the favor.
Everything crossed and hugs to you!!!!!!!
I had a lot of PMS like cramping during the early stages of my pregnancy. And around 7-8 weeks I had major bleeding. Spotting is normal, as long as it doesn't drench a pad. I would however let your RE know about this just in case they want to monitor you. Thinking of you.
ReplyDelete: ( Thinking of you. I think this will all still turn out fine.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping all is Ok for you! I don't want to dismiss your anxiety in any way but I have a friend who went through similar who is almost halfway along now. Xxoo
ReplyDeleteAww Alex, thinking of you and hoping that they bring you in quickly and that this goes away! I think you're going to be okay especially since you're adding more progesterone!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I'm praying for you!!!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, sweetie! Hope all is well!!!! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI wish I could give you a giant hug. I'm thinking of you today!
ReplyDeleteAlex, when I read your post yesterday and saw that you were using Crinone, I very animatedly CRINGED. I primarily used Endometrin, but at one point had to use some Crinone until my order of Endometrin came in, and it was AWFUL. It totally irritated my cervix. I pulled out the applicator once to find it smeared with blood, and, like you, freaked the hell out. Progesterone is super irritating to the cervix my nurse said, and Crinone, for some reason, amps the irritation for some. Cramping can be very normal, too.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, girl. Thinking of you!
praying for you, hubs, and baby.
ReplyDeletejust a pointless p.s.: progesterone supps irritated my cervix big time and caused some cramping.
thinking of you. xoxo.
Oh, honey. That spotting and not-knowing SUCKS. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with it. Hopehopehoping everything's just fine, but I know that the worry isn't, no matter what. Sending hug upon hug. xoxo
ReplyDeleteCrossing my fingers for you! I hope everything is fine with your little one!
ReplyDeleteIt's the hardest of all human feats. And we're told to do it so damned often:(
ReplyDeleteAlex, I hope that this is a momentary hiccup, that the PIO is going to kick in right away. Hoping very, very hard for you.
I'm sorry, Alex. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteThinking positive thoughts for you! The progesterone shot should help a lot!
ReplyDeleteThe PIO shot will help a lot, maybe the cramping was your progresterone increasing! I know PIO gives me cramps. And Crinone def. causes spotting. But... I know it's hard not to be scared. I am choosing to believe all will be well!
ReplyDeleteUghhh... Hang in there friend. I'm hoping for the best! ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteThat sucks, so sorry for the stress of waiting. I hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteHope that all is well, I often had some small amount of spoting with the Crinone which would turn the suppository pink. I think it's very common. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need this!!! Let us know what the RE says. I am relieved by all the people who wrote to say that Prog. caused these symptoms for them... but honestly, after all you've been through, you do NOT deserve to see blood on your tp until delivery day!!!
ReplyDeletePraying that everything is alright and the cramps are just your body's way of getting ready for a growing baby.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Can't ANYTHING be simple for us???
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry things are scary right now. I wish I had some wisdom to offer, but I don't... So instead I'll send some very warm and positive vibes your way.
Hugs!
Oh no, I am sorry you're having to go through this Alex. It's so not fair.
ReplyDeleteThe cramping is normal, but I don't know whether what you're feeling is just your uterus growing. I would be totally freaked out like you. The spotting is normal too, and it is almost always caused by low progesterone levels.
The ultrasound and another beta will show what's going on. In the meantime, you need to take things slow. You need to be on bed rest.
I am thinking of you.
{{{{HUGS}}}}
Ugh, sorry you have to deal with this. I'm sending good thoughts, and hoping it's all minor and normal. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI also had bleeding and cramping at about this point in my pregnancy, after low progesterone and right after we did the first PIO shot. I was sure it was over, but I called the doc, he put me on bedrest and had me come in the next day. And there on the ultrasound was the baby still, much bigger than the last time we'd seen it. I couldn't believe it, but now I'm 10 weeks and everything looks great! I know how scary this is, but it can still be ok. Rest up & talk to your doc, and we'll all be pulling for you here!
ReplyDeleteNO NO NO NO NO. I really hope this is a false alarm. I really hope everything is going to be ok for you. And that your doctor can get you in SOON.
ReplyDeleteSending positive thoughts your way! Fingers crossed for it to be alright still!
ReplyDeleteOh Alex, I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I really hope that the PIO does the trick and the cramping and spotting go away. (((Hugs))) I'll be thinking of you all day.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and your baby, Alex. I'm so sorry about this :-(
ReplyDeleteWill be holding my breath and waiting for updates.
Oh Alex... Hugs...
